![]() ![]() This year, sadly, the piano was tipped over and the wood floors were caving in with no old text books or supplies left to look at. Being such a meaningful place to me I love going here, however, over the years it has deteriorated greatly. Next stop was my dad’s old one room school house. Cody even took a picture of the old wood house with frayed curtains blowing outside the upstairs window and sent it to his friend in reference to the television show “Supernatural.” We walked around the two story house through the tall, thick grass and weeds coming up to our waists and peered through the windows with no glass panes left. I was on a mission to give Cody the coolest tour of the farm that I could and little did I know, Cody was on a mission to find the perfect moment to propose…įirst stop was the abandoned house that I always find creepy but intriguing, still having clothes and dishes in place as if one day the family simply vanished. So we took off on the 4-wheeler, me driving, Malik (our puppy) and Cody on the back. Fortunately, for Cody, he said he had to do some work. ![]() He also knew this was the place he wanted to pop the question, but would only have time Friday morning before we left for Hoven, SD.įriday morning came and I asked my dad if he would tour us around the farm (as he knows all the cool stories since he grew up here). He knew this was a special place, as I had talked about lots of precious memories had here. Cody was about to have his first trip to the Kula farm outside of Gettysburg, SD.
